Despite our distance apart she made our five hour time difference work and was able to show us five plus home showings via facetime, photos, and videos which made purchasing a home without actually seeing it in person a lot easier. First of all, home buying is a stressful process in and of itself. Being a first-time home buyer, and buying in an unfamiliar market adds another layer to that stress. Doing all of the above during a pandemic just takes the cake.
That was the exact scenario I found myself in during early October. Trying to secure a home during a two-week restriction of movement in a housing market that seemed to dry up by the day. Once the closing was official, we sat back and enjoyed a great laugh in my empty living room that she had decorated with balloons, wine, and a welcome sign. I can honestly say it felt more like celebrating with a friend than a business transaction.

Where do I start when I try to explain having Gladys Baran as my realtor here in Mililani Hawaii… I’ve bought homes several times and first off she was the absolute best I’ve dealt with from day one until AFTER the deal has been signed and done. Gladys was so kind and patient with me. She put in a ton of work hours hunting down a home, going to open houses, asking people in neighborhoods I wanted if they were thinking about listing. This was the craziest market but Gladys handled it perfectly. We did have to make around 8 offers to get one accepted if I had listened to her right away we would of been sooner BUT she never made me feel like my offers were too low or she never got frustrated with me just kept helping my family. We got the house that is perfect for us so it was meant to be. Then Gladys even picked us up from the airport!!!! She spoiled us with the best house warming present! I would tell everyone I know they would be lucky to have Gladys help them buy or sell a home!
